As Lead Designer, I direct the creative vision for Velocity Clinical Research’s visual brand, and design the look and feel of its industry-leading online presence and B2B/B2C campaigns. I create print, digital, and video assets to support marketing initiatives and promote Velocity as a trusted partner for trial sponsors and principal investigators. Working alongside a team of seasoned marketing professionals, we’ve developed a host of business development and client facing assets to position Velocity as a leader in clinical research.

Above & Left: I’ve provided design and illustration support for both internal and external audiences. When the subject matter is technical or dry, a little color and playfulness can go a long way to grabbing and retaining the viewers attention.

 
 

Managing costs and maintaining quality through collaboration

The Velocity executive team in Raleigh, NC wanted to produce a series of polished videos to share their vision, but their marketing team all worked remotely. Hiring a local video production company to shoot interviews was the solution, but how could we achieve high quality expectations on a budget?

The solution: Beautiful, graded footage was provided by the production company, which I edited and embellished - adding transitions, b-roll, lower thirds, and all the little touches to tell a great story.

 
 

White papers, flyers, postcards, brochures, oh my!

For every stand out, high profile, portfolio-worth piece, there are dozens and dozens of hard working assets that a business needs to communicate it’s value. As much as I enjoy the flashier pieces I get to work on, I appreciate the importance of the humble one-sheet or presentation deck that comes across my desk.

Clear, organized, legible typography, balancing negative space, form, and function - this is at the core of good design.
