Directed the creative vision for Velocity’s visual brand to develop its industry-leading online presence and B2B/B2C campaigns. Designed and delivered print, digital, and video assets to support marketing initiatives and promote Velocity as a trusted partner for trial sponsors and principal investigators. Collaborated with a team of seasoned marketing professionals to develop business development and client facing assets to position Velocity as a leader in clinical research.

Acted as lead creative for the region’s top home services company, delivering marketing campaign assets across social media, print, television, email, trade shows, websites, and digital display. Managed a team of graphic designers, copywriters, and contractors to keep pace with demand while maintaining quality and consistency. Implemented a digital asset management system (DAM) and documented SOP’s to help the creative and marketing teams work efficiently.

Grid was my first foray into entrepreneurship, providing many opportunities to learn the difference between owning a role and operating a business. As Creative Director, I translated our clients’ marketing goals into social content, copy and collateral to support their campaigns and initiatives. As co-owner of a small, scrappy business, I wore every hat to some degree – from sales and project management, to book keeping and IT. Like many partnerships, the end of the honeymoon period heralded the dissolution of Grid, but the experience taught me valuable lessons in business, leadership, and extreme ownership.

Local Hero | 2013 - 2014
As the Creative Director of a small agency, I managed a team of designers, videographers, animators and contract specialists, serving clients from a broad range of industries. My role included working with clients to help conceptualize and scope their projects, acting as the conduit between the client and the creative team to ensure execution met expectations, shepherding projects through production and client presentations.

LI-COR Biosciences | 2009 - 2013
Initially contracted to redesign and develop the website for the biotechnology division of LI-COR. Collaborating with the marketing team and product managers while also getting a crash-course in the relevant engineering and science, the site was launched successfully and I was offered a full-time position to expand on the visual branding I helped establish. During my tenure I helped to formalize the visual brand standards, provide direction to the design team for print, digital and web projects, and helped with package design for new product launches. I also collaborated with staff developers to create an MVP eCommerce site, which was later expanded upon to incorporate Salesforce integration.
