I’m Anthony Banks.

Graphic designer and art director are some of the the titles I’ve had over the years, but at my core I am simply a creator. On a perfect day I am dreaming up ideas, alone or with others, and then figuring out how to realize those ideas in the physical and digital world.
Over the years I have developed skills like design, illustration, animation, coding, photography, videography, and many more not for their own sake, but to close the gap between what I can imagine and what I can produce.
Above: Visual notetaking is a passion of mine. Introducing drawing and lettering makes wading through almost any subject a creative act, and has proven to be an ideal way for sharing information with others.

Above: Speaking at a local pechakucha event. I speak in front of audiences at least once per year to keep the dread of public speaking in check.
As a creative professional, I have devoted much study and practice learning how to draw out the ideas of others, to translate their ideas into reality and help them achieve their goals through design. On a good day, I find solutions that balance relevance with novelty; pragmatism with creativity. On a great day, I create something that makes someone smile. I feel incredibly blessed to do what I do, and sincerely grateful for those I get to do it for and with.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing the strategy boardgame Go, bookbinding my own notebooks, and developing my creative and technical video game design skills for a Roblox project I am working on with my son.
